Lynching of Muslim man in IIOJK denounced

Jammu, June 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the leaders of Jammu region based Hurriyat organizations have strongly denounced the lynching of Muslim man, Aijaz Ahmed Dar, by cow vigilantes in Rajoury district. Aijaz Dar, a resident of the Thanamandi area of Rajouri district, was attacked on Tuesday by the Hindu extremists near Muradpur area of the district when he was returning home after buying a buffalo. Dar, who was injured in the attack, succumbed to his injuries at Government Medical College Jammu.

The Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement Chairman, Muhammad Sharif Sartaj, Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Peace Foundation Chairman, Muhammad Hanif Kalis, Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Civil Society Chairman, Maulana Amir Mohammad Shamsi, Jammu and Kashmir Seerat-un-Nabi Conference Chairman, Maulana Abdul Qayyum Matoo, Jammu and Kashmir Youth Forum for Peace Chairman, Malik Irshad Ahmed, Pervez Ahmed Sheikh Advocate Khawaja Aijaz Madani, Convener of APHC-AJK Chapter, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Peace Foundation Vice Chairman and Convener Mahmood Akhtar Qureshi Advocate Supreme Court, Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Civil Society Convener Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar, Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement Vice Chairman, Ayaz Ahmad Zargar, and Convener Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal People’s Movement, Muhammad Latif Lone, said that the killing of Muslims in IIOJK was on the rise.

“Such incidents are being carried out in a systematic manner under the state-sponsored Hindutva policy of India to spread fear and among Muslims. The murder of 22-year-old Aijaz Dar is also part of the same policy. At present, the lives of the Muslim population of Pir Panjal, Chenab Valley and Jammu are in grave danger, especially from the BJP, RSS, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other Hindutva-influenced organizations,” they said. The leaders appealed to the Arab League, OIC, UN and other international bodies to take immediate notice of the matter and stop India from carrying forward its nefarious intentions.
