Islamabad: Authorities successfully located and rescued a hiker who lost his way on Trail-5 within the jurisdiction of the Secretariat Police Station, officials said. The individual, visiting Islamabad for sightseeing, was reported missing after communication attempts failed.

Upon receiving the report through “Pukar-15,” DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq instructed SP City to lead the search operation. The effort included the SDPO Secretariat, SHO Secretariat Police Station, and the Margalla Patrol Unit police teams. Within a short period, the teams found the missing hiker and ensured his safe return.

The rescued individual expressed gratitude to the Islamabad Police for their swift and effective response.

DIG Islamabad commended the police teams for their work and reiterated their commitment to citizen safety.
