ISLAMABAD: Lord Wajid Khan, the U.K. Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Faith, Communities and Resettlement, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House today. The visit was part of Lord Khan’s engagement during the Overseas Pakistanis Convention.
Prime Minister Sharif extended a warm welcome to Lord Khan, expressing gratitude for his presence at the convention. He noted the significant role the British Pakistani community plays in fostering relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
Further, the Prime Minister wished well for the U.K.’s leadership, including King Charles III and Prime Minister Keir Starmer. He emphasized Pakistan’s interest in enhancing bilateral relations with the U.K., with a focus on trade, investment, education, and cultural exchanges.
The Prime Minister commended Lord Khan’s efforts to promote bilateral ties and explore new collaborative opportunities between the two nations.
