Loralai: A key meeting of the Regional Transport Authority was held under the leadership of Commissioner Loralai Division, Saadat Hasan, focusing on critical transport issues including the completion of the Loralai Bus Terminal, vehicle safety, and accident reduction on highways. The session was attended by various district deputies and transport officials who deliberated on numerous aspects to enhance road safety and streamline transport services in the region.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting saw the participation of Deputy Commissioner Loralai Miran Khan Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Daki Kaleemullah Kakar, Deputy Commissioner Musa Khel Juma Dad Khan Mandukhel, Deputy Commissioner Barkhan Waqar Khursheed Alam, and RTA Anjarch Asad Khan Mandukhel, among other relevant officers. The discussions covered a range of topics including the ongoing construction of the Loralai Bus Terminal, highway safety, revenue issues, vehicle fitness, and the regulation of driving license fees and registrations.
Commissioner Saadat Hasan emphasized the urgent need to complete the Loralai Bus Terminal to facilitate better traffic flow and provide improved services to transporters and the general public. He highlighted the importance of vehicle fitness checks as a measure to reduce accidents on national highways. Hasan also instructed the Assistant Commissioners in each district to inspect old and potentially unsafe passenger buses and other vehicles to prevent road mishaps.
Further, the Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the recent decrease in accidents on the N70 Loralai DG Road and urged continued efforts and precautions to maintain and enhance road safety. He also appealed to transporters to adhere to safety regulations to help minimize risks and ensure the well-being of commuters.
The meeting underscores the regional government’s commitment to addressing transportation challenges and ensuring the safety of its road networks through strategic planning and regulatory enforcement.
