Loralai, A high-level meeting was convened in Loralai Division, under the chairmanship of Commissioner Balach Aziz, to discuss and devise strategies to enhance the law and order situation, particularly in the Dakki district. This meeting comes in response to several recent security incidents that have raised concerns among local authorities and communities.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the session was attended by key local officials including Khan Baloch, Deputy Commissioner of Dakki, Kaleemullah Kakar, SSP Loralai, and Asaf Halim Rakhshani, DPO Dakki. During the meeting, law enforcement heads from each district provided detailed reports on recent violent incidents, including the tragic martyrdom of a driver in Sanjawi, the wounding of others, the burning of trucks, and a lethal bomb blast in the Lees area that resulted in the death of a Civil Defence official and several workers.
The discussions underscored the impact of these incidents on the local population, particularly those associated with the coal mining industry in Dakki district, which is a vital economic hub for the region. Commissioner Aziz emphasized the critical role of law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and safeguarding the livelihoods of millions, particularly the economically vulnerable groups reliant on the coal sector.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous decision to implement stricter security measures to prevent further incidents. Commissioner Aziz reiterated the commitment of the forces to combat any elements that threaten the peace and security of the citizens and to ensure that such acts of violence and intimidation are met with decisive action.
The commitment reflects an ongoing effort to stabilize the region and protect its residents and economic interests from both internal and external threats.
