Loralai: The Loralai District Health Committee convened a significant meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Zehri, focusing on the assessment of medical services and addressing public health challenges throughout the district. The meeting brought together key health officials and medical personnel to strategize on improving healthcare delivery and ensuring the accountability of medical staff.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting included District Health Officer Dr. Abdul Hameed Lahri, MS Teaching Hospital Dr. Muhammad Fahim, Utma Nakheel, Abdul Salam, Kamran from the Finance Department, K. Abdullah John from Social Welfare, and other health department officials and doctors. The main agenda was a thorough review of the medical facilities available to the residents and the various obstacles they face in accessing these services.
During the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Zahzi emphasized the necessity of providing seamless medical services to the residents right at their doorsteps. He highlighted the issue of habitual absenteeism among doctors and paramedical staff, stating that strict actions, including departmental measures and salary stoppages, would be enforced to address this problem. Zahzi assured that the district would intensify its monitoring processes to ensure that residents directly benefit from governmental health initiatives and that the provision of free medicines and treatment facilities would be prioritized.
The meeting underscored the commitment of the Loralai District Health Committee to tackle these issues head-on to enhance the overall health and well-being of the community.
