Loralai: In a concerted effort to improve educational standards, the Loralai District Education Group, led by Deputy Commissioner Miran Baloch, held its monthly meeting to address several critical issues, including the absenteeism of teachers and the reactivation of closed schools within the district.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting saw robust participation from key educational stakeholders, including Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Yahya Khan Kakar, District Education Officers Muhammad Mufar and Madam Fauzia Durrani, Deputy District Education Officer Muhammad Tariq, as well as representatives from UNICEF and RTSM. The group discussed stringent actions against absent teachers and strategies for reopening schools that have been shut down.
Deputy Commissioner Baloch emphasized the district administration’s commitment to revamping the educational infrastructure. He warned that strict measures would be taken against staff who fail to fulfill their duties, highlighting the urgency of ensuring teacher presence in schools to facilitate student learning. The meeting also touched on plans to appoint new teachers to the schools currently closed, as part of broader efforts to make education accessible to all children in the region.
