Loralai: In a strategic move to enhance agricultural efficiency and sustainability, Commissioner Loralai Division Balach Aziz led a high-level meeting to discuss the solarization of landowners’ tubewells, previously powered by Kisco.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the session saw participation from Deputy Commissioners of Loralai, Daki, and Barkhan, along with representatives from Kisco, the Landlord Action Committee, and other key officials. The discussions centered on transitioning 800 legal tubewell connections in Loralai district to solar power, ensuring uninterrupted water supply for crops during the installation phase and preventing potential losses from power cuts.
Commissioner Aziz highlighted the government’s commitment to providing each legal connection with a 2 million rupees solar setup, aiming to conserve electricity, facilitate farming, and eliminate daily disruptions faced by landlords due to power issues. A collaborative survey by district administration, KESCO, and action committee representatives is planned to ensure accurate identification of legitimate landowners and equitable implementation of the project.
