LHC Bars Non Registered Publishers and Sellers of Holy Quran

Islamabad, June 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Honourable Lahore High Court in its decision has directed all the Pakistanis that while getting any copy of the Holy Quran from open market, they must ensure that the publisher is formally registered with the “Quran Board” and the registration numbers are prominently displayed on the copy.

Moreover, the Honourable Court has made it compulsory for the publisher that every copy of the Holy Quran be marked with the serial number along with Bar+QR so that the authentic copies be differentiated from the non authentic ones. Public is also requested to report any incidence/occurrences of Quran copy by any publisher which is not registered with “Quran Board” and if so then it should be reported to the nearby police station so that the non registered publisher and sellers be held accountable.
