Quetta, Following the fatal accident at the Sanjadi coal mines that claimed several lives, the Balochistan government has announced that legal action is being taken against the mine owner and two others for negligence. This decision underscores a serious attempt by authorities to enforce safety regulations in the mining sector.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, a spokesperson for the provincial government, Shahid Rind, stated that an FIR is being prepared for submission to the local police station. This legal move comes after Provincial Minister for Mines and Minerals, Mir Shoaib Noshirwani, highlighted that the mine owners had repeatedly ignored government warnings to implement essential safety measures, including the installation of gas level meters.
The provincial government’s response aims to address the persistent safety violations and prevent future tragedies in the mining industry by holding negligent parties accountable.
