Lahore, May 25, 2023 (PPI-OT): A meeting of the governing body of LDA was held in the Chief Minister’s Office under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi. In the meeting, various decisions regarding LDA related issues were approved and amendments in Building and Zones Regulations were reviewed. In the meeting, investment was approved in Bank of Punjab through Term Finance Certificates. Amendments to LDA Regulation 1978 for Appointment and Employment were approved.

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed LDA to pay the compensation for the land taken by the institution according to the market rate and said that the compensation is the right of the people from whom the land has been taken. In the meeting, immediate payment was approved to the affected party on the court order and it was decided to entrust the auctioning of the shops of Park and Ride Plaza Liberty to the LDA Auction Committee.

The revised plan for construction of Akbar Chowk flyover was approved while 4 Ravi The project of the bridge was re-examined. In the meeting, hiring of marketing consultant and re-transaction advisor for LDA projects and appointment of environmental consultant and heat management officer were approved. Allotment of land for setting up petrol pumps at transportation terminal sites was reviewed. Chief Secretary, Chairman P and D, Secretaries Housing, Treasury, Local Government, DGLDA, Additional DGLDA Headquarters, NESPAK, officials of other concerned institutions and members of the governing body attended the meeting.
