Jammu: A lawyer, Advocate Ghulam Nabi Zargar, was reported to have allegedly taken his life using a licensed weapon in Kishtwar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, late Monday night.
According to reports from Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred in the locality of Akhyarabad, where Zargar resided. After the incident, his body was transported to District Hospital Kishtwar for medico-legal procedures.
Mental health experts have noted a concerning rise in suicide cases in the region. They point to frequent cordon and search operations, arbitrary arrests, and nocturnal raids as significant contributing factors to this trend.
