Lasbela Launches Week-Long Malaria Control Campaign

Lasbela: In response to a surge in malaria cases, the Health Department of Lasbela, under the guidance of Parliamentary Secretary for Law and Affairs Tourism and Culture Nawabzada Mir Zareen Khan Magsi and the supervision of DHO Lasbela Dr. Abdul Hameed Baloch, has initiated a week-long malaria control campaign across various union councils in the district. This initiative is part of a broader effort to eradicate malaria from the region.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the campaign, in collaboration with NRSP Lasbela, involves anti-malaria spraying operations in areas including Lakra, Jam Yusufabad Bela, and Wayara. The local health teams are actively engaged in this urgent public health response, aiming to address the increased incidence of malaria and prevent further spread.

The District Health Director expressed a strong commitment to not only maintain the intensity of the current efforts but also to expand them to cover the entire district of Lasbela, ensuring comprehensive outreach and protection for all residents.
