Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif revealed plans to provide 100,000 free laptops to deserving pupils nationwide. Speaking at an International Youth Day event in Islamabad on Tuesday, the premier emphasized that distribution will span all four provinces, the federal capital, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir, based solely on academic achievement, excluding any favoritism.
This initiative, he clarified, is distinct from the existing loan-based laptop program. Sharif highlighted the nation’s triumph in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, stating that the May 10th victory instilled renewed vigor in the country. He encouraged young people to channel this spirit into achieving national acclaim.
Prime Minister Youth Program Chairman Rana Mashhood underscored the government’s commitment to merit-based youth empowerment programs. He cited initiatives like the Pakistan Education Endowment Scheme, Pakistan Daanish Authority, and the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme as examples of successful educational support.
Minister of State Kesoo Mal Khael Das affirmed the unwavering dedication of Pakistan’s minority groups to the nation’s advancement.
