Lahore Traffic Police Sees 37 Assistants Promoted to Senior Traffic Assistants

Lahore, In a significant move towards bolstering the workforce, the Punjab Police has promoted 37 assistants of the Lahore Traffic Police to the post of Senior Traffic Assistants. This step aligns with Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s directive for ongoing departmental promotions based on merit and seniority.

According to Punjab Police, the promotion ceremony took place at the Central Police Office, marking the first time these assistants received departmental promotions. The event was attended by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and CTO Lahore Amara Athar, both in traffic police uniform. Other senior officials, including DIG Establishment Dr. Inam Waheed, AIG Admin Sahibzada Bilal Umar, and AIG Inspection Shaista Nadeem, were also present.

During the ceremony, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and other senior officers pinned the ranks to the newly promoted Senior Traffic Assistants. Additionally, IG Punjab distributed cash prizes and certificates of appreciation to 20 traffic officers and officials recognized for their outstanding performance in 2023.

IG Punjab congratulated the Traffic Assistants on their promotions, acknowledging that this development has significantly boosted the morale of the entire traffic force. Dr. Usman Anwar urged the promoted officials to reflect the benefits of their departmental promotion in their enhanced performance and service to the citizens. He emphasized the importance of treating citizens respectfully while on duty and ensuring strict enforcement of traffic rules with a cordial attitude.

IG Punjab also directed that all traffic rules, including compliance with the line system, over speeding, and one-way violations, should be strictly enforced to maintain order and safety on the roads.
