Lahore: Local authorities have arrested a man and his brother following an assault that left his wife severely injured in the Millat Park area of Lahore.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the incident was reported to the Virtual Women Police Station by the victim’s sister, leading to the immediate dispatch of police to the scene. The woman, who sustained a serious head injury and lost consciousness, was quickly transported to a hospital while her husband and his brother were taken into custody.
The Safe Cities spokesperson highlighted the role of the Virtual Women Police Station in responding to incidents of violence against women. The station ensures rapid assistance through the Women Safety App, emergency dialing 15, and chat services, emphasizing its commitment to protecting women in the community.
Legal proceedings against the accused have been initiated as the investigation continues.
