Lahore Hosts E-Procurement Training for PESSI Officers


LAHORE: An e-Procurement training session was conducted at the Nawaz Sharif Social Security Teaching Hospital in Lahore, targeting officers from the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI). The initiative aimed to familiarize participants with the latest procurement procedures and the online procurement system.



According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the training was led by experts from the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), who provided in-depth knowledge on modern procurement practices, rules, and regulations. Sahbzadi Wasima Umar, Managing Director of PPRA, was present and delivered a lecture focusing on transparency, digitalization, and governance in government procurement.



Participants received detailed guidance on e-Procurement modules, including the tendering process and bid management. The training emphasized the practical application of the online procurement system and contemporary procurement methods, aiming to boost institutional capacity among PESSI officers.



This training aligns with the Punjab Government’s digitalization agenda and aims to enhance the efficiency of procurement processes within the Punjab Social Security framework through modern technology.
