Lahore High Court Announces Results for Additional District and Sessions Judge Posts

Lahore, The Lahore High Court has declared the results for the competitive examination for the recruitment of Additional District and Sessions Judges (BS-18). The examinations, which were a part of the court’s efforts to fill vacant judicial positions, took place between November 27 and December 13, 2023. The results list the successful candidates in order of their roll numbers.

According to Lahore High Court, the announcement includes instructions for several candidates whose results are contingent upon the removal of deficiencies identified in their application forms during scrutiny. These individuals are required to contact the examination wing immediately to address and correct any discrepancies within a specified timeframe or face cancellation of their candidacy.

The press release emphasizes that the current list is provisional and does not in itself guarantee any right of appointment. It also stipulates that any discovered deficiency, misstatement, or concealment of facts in the documents or information provided by the candidates at any point—even after an appointment—will result in the cancellation of their candidacy. In such cases, disciplinary proceedings under the Punjab Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973, or criminal prosecution under the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860, may ensue.

The Lahore High Court has also indicated that a schedule for interviews will be issued soon, marking the next phase in the appointment process for the roles of Additional District and Sessions Judge.
