Lack of Public Transport Irks Srinagar Residents on Eid

Srinagar: The residents of Srinagar city and its neighboring areas are experiencing significant challenges due to a shortage of public transport, raising questions about the state of development in the region of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a report by Kashmir Media Service, many commuters have expressed frustration over their inability to visit relatives and friends during the festive period. The lack of adequate transport facilities has been a source of disappointment for numerous residents.

“We are unable to go and meet our loved ones because there are no vehicles available,” said one local resident, highlighting the difficulties faced by people, particularly those from lower-income backgrounds. The limited availability of local buses has further exacerbated the situation, making travel especially difficult during Eid celebrations.
