Kyrgyz Education Minister Apologizes for Violence Against Pakistani Students


Islamabad, In a significant diplomatic engagement, Kyrgyzstan’s Education Minister, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Education, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, in London to discuss recent incidents of violence against Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan. The meeting aimed to address the concerns raised by these incidents and to reaffirm the commitment to the safety of all foreign students in Kyrgyzstan.



According to Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Minister Kendirbaeva expressed deep regret over the violence and extended a formal apology, assuring that measures are being taken to prevent future occurrences. Minister Siddiqui welcomed the apology and stressed the importance of a secure and peaceful environment for the continuation of education for Pakistani students abroad. The meeting underscored both countries’ intentions to strengthen bilateral relations and build trust amidst the challenges faced by students.
