Islamabad, A high-ranking delegation from the Kuwait Embassy in Islamabad visited the Safe City Islamabad facility, meeting with Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The visit included a briefing on the facility’s advanced surveillance capabilities and a tour of the police operations center.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the delegation was briefed on the state-of-the-art camera system and the functionality of the Safe City project. ICCPO Dr. Khan emphasized the comprehensive procedures and benefits of the Safe City initiative, highlighting its role in enhancing security across various sectors. The SSP Safe City Islamabad was also present during the meeting.
The ICCPO informed the Kuwaiti officials and the Director General of the Anti-Narcotics Force about the significant role Safe City Islamabad plays in supporting different departments through modern technological projects. He issued directives to enhance the security of embassies and strengthen the capabilities of the police operations center.
The delegation learned about the effectiveness of Safe City cameras in crime prevention, citizen safety, and property protection. Dr. Khan noted that 42% of the city’s crimes are solved through the Safe City Command and Control Center, with face recognition cameras playing a crucial role in identifying suspects.
The protection of foreign ambassadors and delegations was underscored as a top priority for Islamabad Capital Police. The Kuwaiti delegation expressed confidence in the security arrangements, and a shield was presented to the senior officer of the Kuwait Embassy at the end of the visit.
