Islamabad, The recent two-day Global Health Security Summit held in Pakistan has garnered appreciation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), highlighting Pakistan’s significant role in global health initiatives.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Deputy Health Minister of KSA, Dr. Hani Jokhdar, expressed his commendation during a meeting with Pakistan’s Caretaker Federal Minister for Health, Dr. Nadeem Jan. This meeting, which included a Saudi delegation, took place on the sidelines of the Global Health Security Summit. Dr. Jokhdar acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in successfully organizing the summit, reflecting the country’s dedication to global health security and cooperation.
During the meeting, the Saudi dignitary expressed gratitude for the invitation to the global forum and lauded Pakistan for taking this important initiative. The summit is seen as a crucial step in making the world a safer place, especially in terms of health security and preparedness.
Furthermore, Dr. Nadeem Jan, on this occasion, expressed a strong desire to elevate the health sector collaboration between Pakistan and KSA to new heights. The discussion also included the progress of the King Salman Hospital in Islamabad, a project being established with support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This project symbolizes the deepening health sector ties between the two countries.
