Islamabad: The Republic of Korea’s National Foundation Day and the 76th Armed Forces Day were celebrated with an official event in Islamabad, attended by dignitaries from both Pakistan and Korea. Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada served as the Chief Guest, accompanied by other prominent Pakistani officials including the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and MoS for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Korean Ambassador highlighted the event by expressing his country’s readiness to support Pakistan’s efforts to elevate their bilateral friendship through shared technological and cultural ventures. He announced a week-long celebration, termed “K-Week,” which includes various cultural activities such as the Korea-Pakistan Cultural Gala, Korea-Pakistan Movie Day, and the 17th Korean Ambassador Senior National Cadet National Taekwondo Championship. These events, aimed at fostering closer ties through cultural exchange, are held in collaboration with Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The celebrations underscore the strengthening relationship between Pakistan and Korea, emphasizing a mutual commitment to deepening ties through cultural, artistic, and literary exchanges.
