Korean Ambassador Meets Prime Minister to Strengthen Pakistan-Korea Ties


Islamabad, H.E. Mr. Park Ki Jun, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today, discussing avenues to enhance the robust bilateral relations between their countries.



According to Press Information Department, the Ambassador extended congratulations to Prime Minister Sharif on his re-election, conveying well wishes from the Korean leadership. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude and a strong interest in deepening ties with Korea, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, and technology.



He highlighted Pakistan’s admiration for Korea’s economic transformation and expressed eagerness to learn from Korea’s industrialization strategies and advances in IT and artificial intelligence. Prime Minister Sharif also proposed increasing the export of skilled Pakistani manpower to Korea and suggested exchanging business delegations between Seoul and Islamabad to bolster trade.



Additionally, he invited President Yoon Suk Yeol for an official visit to Pakistan to further discuss cooperative ventures. The Ambassador reciprocated the sentiment, underscoring Korea’s desire to enhance cooperation in various sectors including IT, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
