Islamabad, December 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):Islamabad capital police Koral police teams apprehended twelve criminals including drug peddlers and accused involved in possessing illegal weapons from different areas, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, the Islamabad capital police intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.

Following these directives, the Koral police team arrested six accused involved in drug peddling and recovered 7472 gram hashish from their possession. While, action against the accused involved in possessing illegal weapons police team arrested six accused and recovered five 30 bore pistols and a dagger from their possession.

Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. The safety of citizens’ lives and property is the prime responsibility of Islamabad capital police. No laxity will be tolerated in this regard, he maintained.
