Kishwar Naheed Reflects on Sacrifices of Forefathers for Freedom


Islamabad: The freedom currently enjoyed by the nation is a result of the enduring struggles and sacrifices made by its forefathers, renowned writer and poet Kishwar Naheed stated in a recent video message. Recalling the painful and historic memories of 1947, she highlighted the hardships faced during the Partition on the occasion of Independence Day.



According to Radio Pakistan, Kishwar Naheed recounted how migrating caravans faced tragic incidents during their journeys. She described the difficult circumstances following the establishment of Pakistan, noting that government employees initially lacked basic work necessities like desks and chairs. They were often compelled to sit on the floor, using thorns to fasten pages together.



She emphasized that the struggles and sacrifices of the refugees underscored that Pakistan was not merely a geographical entity but represented the realization of dreams and a symbol of determination.
