Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Welcomes New Business Center in Small Industrial Estate

Karachi, A significant development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s industrial sector was marked by the inauguration of a new business center in the Small Industrial Estate, Peshawar. The ceremony, led by the Caretaker Minister for Industries and Crafts, Technical Education and Amalgamation Affairs, Dr. Aamir Abdullah, took place on Wednesday. This new facility is expected to serve as a commercial hub, enhancing the region’s economic activities.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the business center, situated on Kohat Road, Peshawar, includes exhibition halls and showrooms specifically designed for manufacturers in the Small Industrial Estate. These spaces will provide a platform for local industries to showcase and market their products effectively. The event was attended by the Managing Director of the Small Industries Development Board (SIDB), Ghazanfar Ali, Deputy Managing Directors Sahibzada Zulfiqar and Noman Fayyaz, along with other board officials and employees union representatives.

Dr. Aamir Abdullah, during his address, highlighted the importance of the project and urged SIDB to adapt and improve its business model to meet modern requirements and ensure financial stability. He commended the board for its successful initiative and encouraged further steps towards the sustainable development of the institution. The minister emphasized the need for the institution to adopt a profitable and entrepreneurial approach, implementing a business model that yields better results in the short term.

The caretaker minister also stressed the potential of the new commercial center to foster halal livelihood and prosperity for local business people. He instructed the board officials to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality facilities for the users of the center. Additionally, the minister expressed satisfaction over the timely completion of the plaza, several months ahead of schedule, under his special instructions.

Following the inauguration, the Caretaker Minister visited the IDB head office, where he met with board officers and employees union officials, further discussing the development and progress of the industrial sector in the region.
