Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Advisor Criticizes Nishtar Hall Renovation Efforts

Peshawar, Zahid Chanzeb, the Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tourism, Culture, Archeology, and Museums, has publicly criticized the poor material usage and slow progress in the renovation of Nishtar Hall, a key cultural venue in Peshawar.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during a project briefing, Chanzeb expressed dissatisfaction with the renovation work, highlighting significant issues such as roof leaks that damaged newly installed interiors during recent rains. The advisor stressed the importance of proper project sequencing, starting with the roof before moving to other areas like flooring and interior installations, to prevent wastage of resources and further damage.

He directed the project team to expedite the completion to meet the scheduled inauguration by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and insisted on adhering to international standards in all renovation efforts to avoid jeopardizing the funding, including loans from the World Bank.
