Peshawar, In a significant move to strengthen law enforcement and local governance, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry and Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat Khan visited Kuram District. The visit focused on assessing and enhancing the local police infrastructure and addressing regional developmental issues.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the high-level meeting at the DC Conference Room in Kuram saw local officials including the District Commissioner and Police Officer discussing steps to rebuild police capabilities and introduce new facilities. The IGP lauded the local police’s efforts in countering terrorism and briefed on forthcoming initiatives to equip the Kuram police with modern tools and command centers to better handle law enforcement and security challenges. The visit also included participation in a Tribal Peace Jirga, where the integration of tribal areas and community cooperation with police were pivotal topics.
