Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Official Crackdown on Illegal Sale of Government Medicines

Peshawar, Special Assistant for Population Welfare Malik Liaquat Ali Khan led a surprise inspection in local markets, targeting the illegal sale of government-supplied contraceptives and medicines. During his visit, Khan directed enforcement actions against vendors involved in these unlawful activities, emphasizing the government’s policy against the market sale of its medical supplies.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khan’s visit to People Mandi and other marketplaces in Peshawar was a response to public complaints regarding the unauthorized distribution of these items. He oversaw the recovery of government contraceptives from several shops, underscoring the government’s stance on strict legal measures against the perpetrators. Confiscated items were secured and involved shopkeepers were detained by police authorities.
