Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Information Minister, Barrister Firoz Jamal Shah, has vehemently condemned the actions of Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to support the Kashmiri population in their pursuit of self-determination.
According to a news release by Kashmir Media Service, Barrister Shah relayed his sentiments during a discussion with the Information Secretary of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, Imtiaz Wani. This conversation took place in Peshawar, coinciding with the observation of Kashmir Black Day.
Barrister Shah noted that 76 years have passed since India’s unauthorized occupation of Kashmir, during which the Kashmiri population has faced severe repressions due to their freedom aspirations. He emphasized that such actions taken by Indian troops against the residents of the territory are deeply reproachable.
Furthermore, Barrister Shah voiced that Pakistan remains steadfast in its dedication to ensuring that the Kashmiri people realize their inherent right to self-determination. He appealed to international organizations, such as the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to actively contribute to finding a solution to the ongoing Kashmir conflict.
Expressing gratitude, Imtiaz Wani acknowledged the active participation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Caretaker Chief Minister, governor, information minister, and other cabinet members in the Black Day rally. Wani remains optimistic that the relentless efforts and sacrifices of the Kashmiris will soon yield positive outcomes, foreseeing Jammu and Kashmir’s eventual integration with Pakistan.
