Islamabad, The Caretaker Minister for Information, Culture and Tourism of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Firoz Jamal Shah Kakakhel, participated in and spoke at the opening ceremony of the annual Lok Mela held at Folk Heritage Islamabad. The event featured cultural displays and activities representing the diverse traditions of Pakistan’s regions.
According to Directorate General Information & PRs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Minister, along with other dignitaries, toured the exhibition areas, which showcased the rich cultural heritage of the provinces. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa officials introduced the guests to various cultural aspects, including stalls, food, music, art, literature, costumes, embroidery, and jewelry. Minister Kakakhel also expressed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s solidarity with Palestine by visiting the Palestine Corner and meeting with families there. In his address, he emphasized the importance of cultural events in unifying society, reflecting values, and shaping the legacy for future generations. He reaffirmed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s support for the Palestinian cause and expressed a hopeful vision of holding similar cultural events in Jerusalem and Gaza.
