Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Launches Joint Helpline Merging Bolo and Police Services

Peshawar, in a significant move towards social transformation, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has inaugurated the integration of the Bolo Helpline with the Police Helpline, launching a unified service to address societal issues. The Caretaker Minister for Finance, Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control, Ahmad Rasool Bangash, officially initiated the merger at a ceremony supported by Islamic Relief Pakistan.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the event was attended by key government officials including Secretary Zakat, Ushar, Social Welfare and Women Development Miss Anila Naz, AIG Police Asif Shirazi, and other dignitaries.

The newly integrated helpline, combining Bolo Helpline 080022227/1097 and Police Helpline 15, aims to facilitate public access to law enforcement and social services. Minister Ahmad Rasool Bangash highlighted that this initiative reflects the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s commitment to social change, offering a more efficient platform for addressing complaints and issues related to police and social welfare.

Asif Ali Shirazi, head of Islamic Relief Pakistan (IRP), emphasized the role of the joint helpline in promoting social justice. The helpline is designed to combat social injustice, rights deprivation, and gender violence. It represents a collaborative effort between the Department of Social Welfare and IRP.

The caretaker minister extended special thanks to Islamic Relief Pakistan for their support in this initiative, marking a significant step towards enhancing the rights protection of women, disabled individuals, and other marginalized groups in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
