Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Intensifies Crackdown on Food Adulteration

Peshawar, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority has escalated its operations against the adulteration mafia, with recent raids in Swabi, Mardan, and Lower Dir resulting in significant seizures and destruction of counterfeit beverages.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, these operations led to the confiscation of fake drinks and the imposition of heavy fines on violators for hygiene breaches. The spokesperson for the Food Safety Authority highlighted the authority’s resolve to combat food safety violations aggressively. Provincial Food Minister Zahir Shah Toro called for stringent disciplinary measures against those compromising public health, emphasizing zero tolerance for such detrimental activities.
