Peshawar: Governor Faisal Karim Kundi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has revealed government plans to extend railway connectivity to Uzbekistan, a strategic move under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Governor Kundi discussed the railway expansion during meetings with PPP leaders in Peshawar. The proposed plan includes laying a rail track from Rawalpindi to Kohat and extending it from Kohat to Parachinar, which would eventually link to Uzbekistan. This initiative is seen as a significant step in bolstering economic relations and facilitating trade routes between Pakistan and Central Asia.
Governor Kundi also highlighted the importance of fostering peace for the economic development of the region, particularly for the youth and women in the province.
