Peshawar, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority has intensified its regulatory activities in the Naran area of Mansehra district, focusing on maintaining high standards of food safety in the popular tourist destination. This operation saw the inspection of multiple eateries and the enforcement of strict hygiene standards.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the three-day operation resulted in the seizure of expired food items and the imposition of fines for violations of cleanliness and hygiene regulations. The Food Safety Authority also took steps to regularize new businesses by issuing licenses. The Director General of the Food Safety Authority emphasized the ongoing commitment to ensure the provision of quality food to tourists and locals alike, declaring a zero-tolerance policy towards health risks in food handling and stressing the government’s dedication to public service.
