Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Discusses Advancements in Marble Industry and Mechanized Mining

Peshawar, In a proactive move to enhance the marble industry and mechanized mining in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Abdul Karim Tordhir, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Industry, Crafts, and Technical Education.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the session focused on the strategic development of the sector, including the utilization of mining machinery provided under the “Competitive Industries Project for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.” Attendees included high-ranking officials from the Department of Industries and the Pakistan Stone Development Company. They discussed the allocation of 185 acres for a marble city, which would facilitate the industry’s growth and reduce waste in traditional mining practices.

The meeting highlighted the government’s efforts to supply heavy machinery to the sector, with plans for further expansion by integrating additional machines provided by partnering companies. The Special Assistant urged meticulous inspections and adherence to contractual obligations to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the developments.
