Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Reviews Progress on Tourism and Infrastructure Projects

Peshawar, An important meeting focusing on the development of tourism, culture, archaeology, museum, communication, construction, livestock, fisheries, and cooperative departments took place at the Chief Minister House in Peshawar. The session, chaired by Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice Retired Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, was convened to evaluate the ongoing development projects, administrative matters, challenges faced by the departments, and their potential solutions.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the meeting was attended by the caretaker Chief Minister’s spokesperson Brigadier (R) Syed Mujtaba Tirmizi, administrative secretaries of the relevant departments, and other high-ranking officials. The assembly was briefed on various projects under the Department of Tourism, with a focus on effectively managing and deriving income from PTDC properties transferred from the federal government to the provincial department.

The meeting also discussed Integrated Tourism Zones, including developments in Mansehra, Swat, and Chitral, which are projected to cost billions and be completed over eight years. Additional briefings covered Hind Park, the Kumrat Madakalisht Cable Car, and the installation of camping parts at key tourist spots in the province.

In his directives, the Caretaker Chief Minister emphasized the importance of progress as per timelines, transparency, and quality of work to ensure the timely delivery of benefits to the people. The meeting underscored the province’s commitment to enhancing services and facilities for tourists and ensuring the success of ongoing projects for community welfare.
