Peshawar, The Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Justice Retired Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, chaired an important meeting on Monday at the Chief Minister House to review developmental measures focusing on youth education and employment in the province.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the meeting was attended by key figures, including Caretaker Provincial Minister for Information Technology Dr. Najibullah, Managing Director of the Overseas Employment Corporation Naseer Khan Kashani, Managing Director of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority Aamir Afaq, and Director of the Institute of Management Sciences Dr. Usman Ghani, among others. The agenda focused on providing modern training to the youth in various sectors and facilitating their employment in foreign countries. A comprehensive briefing was given on the strategies for training, understanding manpower requirements abroad, and sending provincial youth to foreign countries for employment opportunities.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the caretaker government’s commitment to tackling unemployment among the youth on an emergency basis. He highlighted ongoing efforts to significantly increase the number of trained nurses in the province, facilitating more employment abroad. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of individual and collective responsibility in developing the country sustainably. He pointed out that investing in the youth and transforming them into valuable assets is the best path to national development.

The Chief Minister’s remarks underscored the government’s focus on laying a strong foundation for future administrations to build upon, benefiting the people of the province. The meeting concluded with a consensus on the urgent need to adopt innovative methods beyond traditional approaches to address the major issue of unemployment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Islamabad, In a move to modernize and streamline services for citizens, the Islamabad Capital Police has launched a virtual driving license system. This initiative, directed by the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, is designed to facilitate the process of obtaining and renewing driving licenses in Islamabad.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, residents of Islamabad can now download their virtual driving licenses using their National Identity Card number, driving license number, and expiration date via the official website. This new system is aimed at providing ease and convenience for citizens, allowing them to access their driving licenses from the comfort of their homes. The virtual driving license initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the efficiency of services provided to the residents of the federal capital.

The Chief Police Officer (CPO) of Safe City/Traffic highlighted that the primary objective of this digital transformation is to offer better facilities to the citizens. Special police teams have been tasked with educating the public about traffic laws and road safety. These teams are actively engaging with citizens at various checkpoints and roads throughout the city.

In addition to the virtual driving license system, the Islamabad Capital Police is also committed to raising awareness about road safety and traffic regulations. They are utilizing various channels, including radio FM 92.4, to keep the public informed about the latest traffic situations in Islamabad and to provide essential information on road safety measures.
