Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh Set to Unveil 2025-26 Budgets

Karachi: The budgets for the fiscal year 2025-26 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces are scheduled to be presented in their respective provincial assemblies on Friday.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Finance Minister Aftab Alam Afridi will take to the assembly floor to present the budget at 3:00 in the afternoon. The budget presentation is a key event, setting the financial priorities for the province for the upcoming year.

Simultaneously, in Sindh, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the province’s budget in the Sindh Assembly in Karachi at 3:00 pm. The budget session in Sindh is expected to outline the government’s fiscal policies and financial management strategies.

Prior to the assembly presentation, the Sindh cabinet is slated to hold a meeting at 10:00 am to approve the budget. This step is a procedural necessity before the budget is formally presented to the assembly.

These budget presentations are critical as they will lay out the financial blueprint for the upcoming year, addressing various socio-economic challenges faced by the provinces.
