Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advisor Urges Rapid Progress on Arbab Niaz Stadium Renovation

Peshawar, Syed Fakhr Jahan, the Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sports and Youth Affairs, has called for an expedited construction process for the Arbab Niaz Stadium upgrade, targeting its completion within the year. This urgency reflects the project’s significance for the region’s sporting landscape, particularly in revitalizing international cricket.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during a review meeting focused on the “Feasibility and Improvement of Arbab Niaz Stadium Peshawar” project, Jahan emphasized the necessity of meeting the June deadline for the stadium’s civil works. Attendees included Director General Sports Abdul Nasir Khan, various department chiefs, and engineers who discussed the current pace of the project and identified hurdles.

The advisor underscored the stadium’s role in hosting international cricket and league matches, highlighting its potential impact on the province’s sports profile. With an eye on resolving outstanding issues, Jahan has scheduled discussions with WAPDA authorities to address electricity-related challenges, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to eliminating barriers to timely project completion.
