Qila Abdullah: In a confrontation with militants in the Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah District, Balochistan, security forces successfully repelled an attack on their post during the night of January 27-28, 2025. The assailants, identified as Khwarij, attempted to breach the post but were met with strong resistance from the troops, leading to an explosive-laden vehicle being driven into the perimeter wall.
According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations, the ensuing battle resulted in the neutralization of all five attackers, including two suicide bombers. Despite the successful defense, the encounter claimed the lives of two soldiers from the security forces.
The fallen soldiers, Naik Tahir Khan, aged 39 from Tank District, and Lance Naik Tahir Iqbal, aged 26 from Karak District, were hailed for their bravery in the line of duty. Both soldiers were noted for their gallant efforts before they succumbed to their injuries, embracing shahadat.
A sanitization operation is currently underway in the region to ensure the capture of any remaining perpetrators. The statement further emphasized the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate terrorism and highlighted the resolve strengthened by the sacrifices of their personnel.
