Khuzdar Officials Conduct Inspections Amid Heavy Rainfall to Ensure Efficient Drainage

Khuzdar: In response to heavy rainfall, a team of local government officials including the Assistant Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and Levies Officers conducted extensive inspections across various areas of Barash city to oversee and expedite drainage operations.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Arif Zirkoon, officials like Assistant Commissioner Hafeezullah Kakar and ADC General Ulam Din assessed the effectiveness of rainwater drainage efforts in the region. The team visited several areas, including Kaushik, Lizo, Nyamjo, and Khatan, utilizing heavy machinery to manage and mitigate the accumulation of rainwater.

The district administration emphasized its commitment to using all available resources to quickly drain the rainwater, ensuring that work continues uninterrupted in streets, roads, and low-lying areas. Additionally, Levies officers and rescue workers are actively involved in rescue operations, providing essential support such as tents, pots, and rations to families affected by the rains.

The inspections and ongoing efforts reflect the local government’s proactive approach to dealing with the challenges posed by the seasonal rainfall, prioritizing the safety and well-being of its residents.
