Khuzdar: In response to public complaints, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Hafeez announced a crackdown on the unauthorized sale of stamp papers in Khuzdar city, with plans to cancel licenses of those found violating regulations.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the local administration received reports that some vendors were selling stamp papers without a proper license and significantly overcharging, with Rs. 50 and Rs. 100 stamp papers being sold for Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500, respectively. In light of these complaints, the Assistant Commissioner has issued strict instructions to prevent the illegal possession and sale of stamp papers.
Abdul Hafeez stated that to protect consumers and ensure compliance with the law, measures including license cancellations would be implemented. He also mentioned that a meeting with all relevant parties, including stamp paper sellers and applicants, would be convened soon to establish a fair pricing structure, aiming to prevent future abuses and facilitate easier access for the public.
