Khuzdar: In a concerted effort to tackle a variety of urban issues, Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Yasir Iqbal Dashti chaired a critical meeting with members of the All Parties Urban Action Committee, led by Chairman Bashir Ahmad Jatak. The meeting focused on collaborative approaches to resolve core challenges facing Khuzdar, including security, education, healthcare, and urban management.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the discussions underscored the urgent need for joint actions to maintain peace and security in collaboration with all relevant security agencies. The meeting also highlighted the necessity of revitalizing educational institutions, ensuring teacher attendance, and eradicating illiteracy as key objectives for the district’s administration.
Further resolutions from the meeting included improving healthcare services and ensuring the presence of medical staff in hospitals, activating price control committees to manage market prices, and addressing urban encroachments. Additionally, measures will be taken to manage the presence of beggars affecting local businesses, review land issues concerning disabled individuals, and enforce laws against one-wheeling, public display of weapons, and vehicles with tinted windows.
Deputy Commissioner Dashti emphasized the administration’s dedication to implementing necessary measures for the welfare and prosperity of Khuzdar’s residents, with plans to continue seeking insights and cooperation from all sectors of society.
