Islamabad, July 01, 2022 (PPI-OT):First meeting of the special committee formed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to explore avenues for development of mining sector was held in Islamabad on Friday with Minister for Power Khurram Dastgir Khan in the chair.

The meeting discussed issues faced by mining sector raised by mining sector representatives including structural issues, infrastructure development and security concerns. The meeting assured the mining sector representatives that their problems will be addressed.

Minister for petroleum Musadik Malik, Minister for Housing and Works Maulana Abdul Wasay, secretary petroleum and officials of relevant Ministries and representatives of All Pakistan Mines and Minerals Association attended the meeting.
