Karachi, Sheikh Noori Muhammad Ali, the esteemed key bearer of Rasool’s Tomb, arrived in Karachi this evening for a three-day visit. During his stay, he will be hosted by the Governor of Sindh at the Governor House, highlighting the significance of his visit to the city and the honor accorded to him by the provincial leadership.

According to Sindh Governor House, Sheikh Noori Muhammad Ali’s visit is marked by his accommodation at the Governor House, where he will be staying for the duration of his three-day visit. The visit underscores the cultural and religious significance of Sheikh Noori Muhammad Ali’s role as the key bearer of Rasool’s Tomb, a position that holds considerable respect and reverence in the Islamic world.

Islamabad, A Facilitation Center designed to assist the newly elected members of the National Assembly is now fully operational within the National Assembly Secretariat, Islamabad. Established in Committee Room No. 2, the center is prepared to manage the registration process, including photographing and issuing necessary documents and cards to the new legislators.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the Facilitation Center began its operations on February 22, 2024, welcoming the arrival of newly elected members. The center is scheduled to remain open until the opening session of the National Assembly, operating from 10 am to 3 pm daily to facilitate the registration process for the new members.

Newly elected members are urged to visit the Facilitation Center promptly to complete their registration without the inconvenience of potential delays caused by high turnout. They are required to bring their National Identity Card along with other essential documents for the registration process.

This initiative underscores the commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and integration of new members into the legislative body, facilitating their immediate involvement in the governance and legislative duties awaiting them.

Islamabad, The Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, led by Chairman Senator Farooq H. Naek, convened its final meeting before dissolution at the Parliament House, marking the culmination of three years of concerted efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s foreign relations and safeguard the rights of overseas Pakistanis.



According to Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Naek praised the committee’s accomplishments, achieved in close collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its staff, particularly highlighting the role of Additional Secretary Mr. Hafeez Sheikh in facilitating efficient coordination. The meeting underscored Pakistan’s diplomatic strides, including efforts to internationalize the Kashmir issue, combat Islamophobia, and enhance the welfare of Pakistanis abroad.



The Foreign Secretary detailed the ministry’s actions in response to the committee’s recommendations, addressing India’s alleged human rights violations in IIOJK, the global fight against Islamophobia, and the specific assistance provided to Yasin Malik’s spouse. Moreover, the ministry’s proactive measures in resolving the challenges faced by Pakistani students in China due to COVID-19 restrictions, and issues related to Pakistani spectators during the Pak-Afghan cricket match in the UAE, were commended.



Efforts to ease the travel and living conditions of Pakistanis in Gulf countries, including Iqama renewals and salary disputes, were discussed, alongside Pakistan’s balanced diplomacy amidst the Ukraine crisis and its application for BRICS membership. The ministry’s outreach in Africa and the digitization of the power of attorney system were also highlighted as significant achievements benefiting the Pakistani diaspora.



The committee received updates on Pakistan’s participation in the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, with Senator Walid Iqbal proposing a uniform consular protection policy. The Foreign Secretary assured the formulation of this policy within 90 days. Discussions on prisoner transfer agreements aimed at benefiting Pakistani nationals abroad were also a key agenda item.



The Foreign Secretary thanked the committee for its guidance, reiterating the ministry’s commitment to advancing Pakistan’s foreign policy goals. The meeting, attended by Senators Walid Iqbal, Palwasha Muhammadzai Khan, Maulana Ghafoor Haideri, Tahir Bizenjo, Mushahid Hussain Sayyed, and other senior officials, reflected on the collaborative achievements and set the direction for future diplomatic endeavors to promote Pakistan’s global standing and protect its citizens’ interests.
