Kejriwal Warns of Opposition Arrests if BJP Wins Lok Sabha Polls

New Delhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the incarceration of opposition leaders would ensue if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secures victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Kejriwal voiced these concerns during a meeting with his party workers, amid escalating political tensions ahead of the national polls.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Kejriwal dismissed the possibility of a BJP government forming after the elections, suggesting instead that the INDIA bloc, a coalition of opposition parties, is poised to take power on June 4. He shared insights from recent discussions with poll experts and citizens following his release from jail, which reinforced his belief that the BJP’s return to power was unlikely.

During his address, Kejriwal also critiqued Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign strategy, which he claimed centers on garnering support for Home Minister Amit Shah as the next prime minister. He highlighted Modi’s impending retirement, due to a self-imposed age limit that led to the retirement of other senior BJP leaders, and questioned whether Shah would uphold Modi’s commitments.
