New Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of New Delhi and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, has publicly accused the Modi government of large-scale election rigging in the recent Lok Sabha elections. Kejriwal’s allegations include manipulation of exit polls and undue pressure on polling agents to skew results in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
According to Kashmir Media Service, Kejriwal highlighted discrepancies in the BJP’s exit poll claims, notably the impossible assertion of winning 33 seats in Rajasthan, a state that only has 25 Lok Sabha seats. He expressed concerns over the integrity of the vote counting process, accusing the Modi government of exerting pressure to achieve favorable outcomes.
Kejriwal urged his supporters to remain vigilant against potential rigging tactics purportedly employed by the government. He asserted that the BJP could not secure a win in Rajasthan without resorting to electoral manipulation. “We have to save the country by foiling the Modi government’s plan to rig the elections,” he stated, emphasizing the need to protect the democratic process.
Furthermore, Kejriwal accused the Modi government of utilizing substantial financial resources to buy votes and employing various strategies to maintain power, which he views as clear evidence of election rigging. This marks another significant clash between the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP amidst ongoing tensions over electoral integrity in India.
