Karachi, June 05, 2023 (PPI-OT): Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that KDA will construct a storm drain from 4K Chowrangi to Lyari river Yusuf goth Gadap town with the support of the Sindh Government and construction of storm drain will help to control the situation during rains. He adds that Sindh Government is working day and night to complete countless projects in the city of Karachi on urgent basis and the effects of the positive initiatives of the Government of Sindh will be visible soon. He said while laying the foundation stone of storm drain at 4K Chowrangi to Lyari river Yusuf Goth Gadap Town. He accompanied by Senator Waqar Mehdi, Minister Labour and Human Resources Saeed Ghani, MNA Shahida Rahmani, Secretary LG Najam Ahmad Shah, Director General KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, CM Coordinator Shehzad Memon and MC KMC Syed Shujaat.
These views were expressed by Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah while laying the foundation stone of 4K Chowrangi to Lyari Nadi Yusuf Goth Gadap Town Barsati Nala. KDA Superintendent Engineer Abdul Muttalib Manan informed the details and said that the length of the storm drain is about 15000 running feet while the pipeline of 15, 24, 36, 48, 72 dia inches will be laid. Minister LG said that the construction of the storm drain will cost around Rs.798 million and all resources will be used to complete the said drain before the stipulated time.
DG KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah said that we need to take practical steps in the future that will benefit future generations. He added that KDA is making full use of its resources to provide basic facilities to the citizens and Development works are going on across the city with the support of the Sindh government. On this occasion, Member Finance KDA Muhammad Kashif Khan, Director Recovery Raza Qaim Khani, Executive Engineer Muhammad Tahir Khan, Assistant Executive Engineer Shahid Hussain, Assistant Executive Engineer Nadeem, People’s Labour Union Head Muhammad Ashraf, political leaders and other officers were also present.
